The mission of Catalyst Productions’ VARIABLETV is to create a high quality, innovative edu-tainment television series expanding the visibility and scope of Asheville’s cultural profile, while serving both as a promotional resource for emerging creative professionals and a platform for key players impacting cultural development.
Reaching into the arts, human services, sustainable development, multimedia, and countless other sectors for content, VTV provides thousands of regional cable viewers and global online audiences insight into the city’s unique community, at once attracting cultural tourism and promoting social justice.
THE PROGRAM
Each one-hour episode is composed of an interview and a unique live talent showcase with footage from throughout Asheville spliced in between. The interview component features a member of Asheville’s community who is positively impacting or adding dynamics to the city’s culture.
